rushe lynn smith. adopted and raised by a rode king and english queen, rushe grew up competing in the western and english circuits. a rodeo star and english prodigy, rushe had it all going for her. until she and her beloved english gelding took one of the worst falls in show jumping history. her horse cleared the oxer perfectly but as he landed the bones in his front ankles snapped, sending horse and rider tumbling to the ground. rushe made it out with a concussion and fractured collar bone, but her gelding didn't make it out of the ring. rushe stayed solidly in the western saddle after that accident, even when her parents bought her a a new gelding. finally her parents bred her western mare, and sent her off to kent equestrian with her mare and gelding hoping she would get back into english, but she stubbornly joined the western team, even without a horse to compete on. rushe has been quiet after her accident, most people in the show jumping circuit had heard of her accident and she ignores them the best she can. but with her mares impending delivery all she can ride is her gelding.
