GENERAL
the shows call this young four year old red roan quarter horse gelding vinnies blazing glory. long name yes, well this big guy, also known as blaze, has a long line of breeding blood lines along him that have a variety of quarter horses that have a history of multiple of disciplines, making him a great all around horse. many know him for his calm, cooperative attitude, others know him for his ability to sprint, spin, slide, or simple cut cattle with amazing grace and speed. he's very nimble on his feet, and has a stride on him many western riders, and even english riders dream of for their mounts. he has the natural quarter horse stance, naturally squaring up, head lower, and naturally collecting through out his transition of speed because of his training background. many western riders have heard of the famous background names of blaze, such as handcock, and his blood lines even go as far back as the champion race horse, war admiral. his appearance is the casual quarter horse aswell, broad & brawny. he has short red pillars, and a roan bodice that is wide, and has twitch reflexes that many other horses that aren't quarters have. for example, the arab. many these day may call it 'ninja reflexes.'
PERSONALITY
this young guy, only at four, has amazing tolerance, and much knowledge in his mind. he knows neck reining, but when it comes to complete flat work, mainly for practise all he needs is a snaffle, and to be worke don a little, other wise, he can get a bit dim on his steering. this large red roan has lots of potential in the future, with his lvoe for the barrel pattern, aswell as the unknown of the cattle or the wonderful collectiona nd relaxtion of reining or western pleasure. he is quite the willing animal, only their to please his mount, and with his training, he cooperates well with everyone, but he will always connect best with the one who feeds him. blaze is also known for his great proformances that he puts forward for the rest of the world to see. even though he is only four, its rare for him to make many mistakes. they're little mistakes that many don't realize, only the judge. & that would be his lack of concentration at times if he finds himself getting bored. at reining and western pleasure shows, aswell as other shows, he's quite calm and usually level headed, but when he knows his job is to do the barrel pattern, its all you can take to try and hold him back at the gates or the runway. he always runs hard for the first barrel, and his old owner has tried her everything to hold him back, she's even had him bounce out of the gates, skid around right before the gates cause the horse knows his job, and wants nothing to get in the way. as long as his rider is balanced, his pace is nothing but faster & faster. his rider usually has to back him out of the rate, and spin him around for the barrel, to have some kind of control, he always starts with the left barrel, and if the rider wasn't to back him out, they'll have nothing but troubles. his trainer who started him once they noticed his passion for barrel raccing had to run him into the fence of the runway because he just wanted to run. there is always a rear, and a little leap forward, and then he's off. he's known for cutting in close for the barrel, so riders usually have to keep a strong inside calf with the equine or else he'll knock the barrel over. with time and repition, the young side should fade, so he isn't as 'jumpy' and 'go, go ,go -ish'. blaze can usually tell between his riders energy what they are going to do. if the rider has a calm, yet nervous, he knows to collect, and relax, and take everything mellow, and show his gorgeousness to the best of their ability. if the rider is nervous, but the energy levels are through the roof, he knows he must run, and he better run well.
HISTORY
well, if you haven't clued in - blaze has had been raised at a good barn, and has nothing but positivity in his life. this large guy, standing at sixteen hands, blaze has had some intense training, and four a four year old, is amazing for his age. he grew up a professional american quarter horse breeder, who then shipped him off to the famous barrel racer at the age of two, to brittany pozzi, who trained him for barrel racing for all of two months before he was on the rodeo circuit with her. when blaze accompanied brittany on the circuit, he did really well, and she was the one that figured out his big heart for running at breakneck speeds around barrels. although, off the cicuit, she noticed that he would start playing aorund with the other horses, chasing them, and staying fixated on them. so she decided to offer him to her father, who took him for the days off of the rodeo training. her father taught the equine everything he knows expect for the barrel racing. he tought the large red roan his cattle skills, aswell as the manners in the box for roping. this guy also taught blaze his quick reflexes, aswell as the collection. he worked a little bit on sliding stops, but most of the sliding stops were brought to him through the barrel racing when brittany would ask him to buckle down, or when her father taught him cow sense. collection was just so important, it grew to him. most of his riding was done in a loose ring snaffle. when they sent him back at age three, their owner sent him to a trainer who taught him proper collection & ring work. the equine soon then began to understand the importance of collection. he built up back muscles, and now, even in the field is natually collecting himself when he is backing, spinning, walk, running or any other gate. once back at the breeders, the breeder sold blaze out of lack of money, and only got a small amount for him, then he fell into hope's hands. where she is clueless with western riding, and unaware of what the equine was capable of. she'll be taking western riding lessons, and although she thinks she has a natural riding seat, she won't know a deep seat until she hops on his back. well, when it comes into the cattle work and the barrel racing work, cause this horse has give her like no one can beleive. the young sparks to him still exploding out of his mind at the thought of rodeos.
