tymon drake raynes`Can we pretend that airplanes in the night sky are like shooting stars...------------------ The sun high high and might in the early afternoon sky, fluffy clouds floating peacefully across the bright blue sky. Buds on the trees were starting to open and plants were beginning to sprout from the ground. The scent of freshly cut grass and pollen hung in the air, freshening up everyone's day as they walked in the peaceful, tranquil world as it awoke. Spring was certainly coming.
Ty was murmuring to his mare, Angel. She had been...difficult the last few days since moving to California from London. She was one of those horses that was easily upset, and once they were, they were very hard to calm down. The milky white mare snorted, ears flickering back and forth as Ty glided the brush over her well muscled flank. They stayed like this for at least half an hour before Ty finally woke up from his dream-like state and tacked up the mare.
Angel was still a little off, but she seemed fine as Ty walked her into the jumping arena and mounted her. In fact, she seemed quite forward going. The mare pawed at the ground with impatience as Ty sorted the girth and his stirrups before gently urging her into a steady walk. Ear pricked, Angel complied, her long strides covering the ground easily. Her strides were actually comfortable in all gaits, which made her so enjoyable to ride, especially when on a good long hack in the middle of nowhere. Ty remembered those days when they did that, riding to nowhere, and simply exploring. The scenery had been breathtakingly beautiful, earning a special place in both the horse's and rider's hearts.
After a few minutes, Ty urged the mare in to an easy trot and trotted over a few poles on the floor. The mare was a little shaky on a few, however, she ploughed on, ears pricked and her tail high. However, soon both Ty and Angel were bored of trotting poles, so Ty asked for canter and so the jumping began.
The first few fences were actually quite easy, the mare moving brilliantly over them. She was off to a flying start, with Ty simply keeping her in check and counting stride patterns. It was easy, until a bird flew in to the arena and in front of Angel, spooking the mare as she jumped over a fence. Angel neighed in distrught as both horse and rider went down. Angel managed to land on her knees, meaning she wasn't hurt too badly. However, Ty landed heavily on the sand of the arena, stars before his eyes. Pain exploded in his right hip as he slowly sat up, wincing, head spinning and a sick feeling racking his body with such force he was almost sick.

The world could fall away but I won‘t be afraid Chloe had gone shopping to get some new clothes and needed to pick up the brand new tack for Candy that her parents had ordered. Hungry as well she got something to eat and drink while she was out. She needed some spring clothes since her winter clothes were tucked away for safe keeping. Driving back to school with all of the stuff in the back seat she carried her bags of clothes to her room. Making some special treats for Candy to have before their ride. Leaving the tack in the car until she was done with being inside. Returning with empty arms Chloe carried the new tack to the barn and straight to Candy's stall. Happy her favorite horse was there all bright eyed and bushy tailed. "Hey girl I brought something very special stuff for you, it's your favorite treat." Unlocking the stall door she went in taking the tack with her, making sure there was nothing on them she could tell Candy was ready for some training time. Removing a package of sliced apples with peanut butter she fed Candy her goodies while brushing and tending to her. "All done there Candy?" Putting the empty bag in her pocket to toss and tacked her filly.
Leading her out by the reins she made sure Candy was always looking her best and adjusted the girth then the stirrups since it was new. Putting her foot into the stirrup the young woman lifted herself into the saddle. Taking hold of the reins she urged Candy on, keeping time with her horse's gait. With her helmet on her head and black leather riding boots on her feet Chloe, took Candy to the indoor jumping ring. Asking for a faster walk there there would be time for cantering, trotting, running and jumping so neither was in any hurry. Once in she looked around to see if anyone else was there or not. Walking her into the ring she stroked Candy's white neck and heard the noises. Seeing the bird she kept hold of Candy watching for it again then saw a young man on the ground in the ring. Quickly getting Candy over she dismounted and hurried over to Tymon, kneeling down to check him over. "Hey you okay?" Concerned about him she supported him so he wouldn't fall over or anything like that, it was that last thing anyone needed.

tymon drake raynes`Can we pretend that airplanes in the night sky are like shooting stars...----------------- Ty had fallen off many horses during his sort life, he admitted, however, he'd never actually fallen off Angel. For all her faults, she didn't really buck to get him off, she simply bucked because she could. Besides, she was the most comfortable horse he'd ever ridden and her strides were easy to sit to. That was one of the many, many reasons he brought the mare. She was also very stunning, and could probably jump fences twice her height if she were given the chance. She was an Anglo-Arabian, which meant she had the stamina and endurance of an Arabian and the strength and speed of a Thoroughbred. It made her formidable in Eventing.
Of course, that wasn't what Ty was thinking as he lay there, staring up at the ceiling of the arena. What he was thinking was, Ouch! My frickin' hip is killing me! Ty did have a very high pain threshold, however sometimes when he wasn't well or hadn't been sleeping well, the threshold would drop, meaning lesser pains such as the one now felt like a shot gun wound. Of course, he wouldn't admit that to anyone, least of all a girl, and chose to man up and keep his face blank if anyone asked.
However, while all this personal confortation was going on in his mind, he failed to notice a girl walk into the arena with her horse. Ty was usually very observant, however, he seemed to be having an off day, in more ways than one. But even when he noticed the girl, with his hazy brain that wasn't working very well that the moment, didn't register that she was there until she'd ran up to him. Staggering to his feet, Ty swayed a little, but somehow managed to stay on his feet, with a lot of help from the mystery girl. He cleared his throat, deeming that their proximity way too close for comfort. He shifted uncomfortably, trying to balance his weight and to try and get his mind off how close he was to a total stranger. Well, she wasn't a total stranger, he'd seen her around school and such, however, he didn't know her name or who she was to be honest.
Ty was just grateful that she was there to catch him if he fell, not that it annoyed him a little, since she was meant to be the one who should be about to collapse. Still a little dazed, Ty nodded to her question. "Oh, yeah, I'm fine," he said in a clear British accent.

The world could fall away but I won‘t be afraid Chloe had maybe fallen off of Candy two or three times in the past three years since she's owned her. But it hadn't soured her on her beautiful three year old white Shagya Arabian filly, no matter what. When and if it ended up happening again Chloe would take it with a grain of salt and try again. Candy was her best friend really and trusted the filly with her life. In truth Chloe took care of Candy and Candy always took care of her. Ever since she was a little girl Chloe had always wanted a horse and luckily a friend of her parents had some Shagya Arabians. Candy was given to Chloe on her 13th birthday as a filly being raised by her human caretaker and soon rider. Chloe had been taking riding lessons since she was a child and did need a horse of her own, she had the horse of her dreams now.
She was a tough girl herself but wouldn't keep it inside if she was hurt or anything else. Chloe had always been taught by her grandma a person or a girl can be sweet, soft and tough at the same time but still to let yourself feel. Wondering if that was true for guys as well to be sweet, strong and tough at the same time but never truly loose yourself either. Loose yourself bad enough to the point you no longer can find yourself or don't even know who you really are anymore. But she vowed to herself that she wouldn't ever do that.
Her thoughts were focused on jumping even before she had gotten there. But she never overlooked anyone around her no matter where or what her thoughts were on. Chloe had off days like anyone but wasn't fond of off days. Letting go of Candy's reins she ended up right by Ty's side and felt him sway. Keeping him on his feet she checked him over making sure he wasn't hurt anywhere. Hearing the throat clearing she got the impression their closenes was a bit much to him. "Hey don't worry okay I'm not a nasty person I'm just here to help is all." Hoping to ease his mind even if it was just a tiny bit. She wasn't going to yell or scream at him but understood that he wasn't comfortable around her. Having seen him around school herself but didn't know who he was.
Chloe looked around for somewhere to let him sit down even if it was off to the side and on the ground. She was stronger then she looked no matter the height difference there between them, holding on to him still. Listening to him she still searched for a place to let him sit down. "Alright but you need to sit down for a little bit regardless." She wasn't ordering him around but looking out for his wellbeing and slowly walked him to the side so he could have a seat.

tymon drake raynes`can we pretend that airplanes in the night sky are like shooting stars...Tymon didn't do closeness. He was the sort of person who liked to keep people at arms length and keep them there, no matter what. He didn't like being close to someone, he didn't like looking or feeling weak in front of anyone either. Keeping a tough outter shell was the only thing that kept him from a total mental and physical breakdown that he might not recover from. It was that thick skin that kept him almost sane and able to talk to people for a short amount of time. However, he was always afraid that if someone got too close, like this girl was...or had, they were going to see through that barrier and see what he tried to keep hidden.
Ty sucked in a deep breath and exhaled slowly, trying to calm his racing heart which was thumping against his chest like a drum. He was slightly surprise when the girl tried to calm him down by saying she wasn't a nasty person. That was the trouble at all! It was the total opposite! He cleared his throat again. "Oh, no no. It's not that," he said, staring at the ground for what felt like an age. And the girl didn't seem to want to move away from him, even after he told her he was fine. He was trying not to act weak, and yet he was swaying like a tree in a breeze. That wasn't exactly good.
Ty shook his head. "No, no. Seriously, I'm fine. Just a little whoozy, but that'll go real soon. See, I'm feeling much better now." However, his protests and words didn't seem to make any impact on the girl and she still led him to the other end of the arena to a seat. He didn't want to sit down! He pushed a hand roughly through his short brown hair, hazel eyes searching around the arena for Angel. He found the mare on the other side, ears flickering back and forth as she stared at the filly on the other side. No doubt wondering whether she should go over and see who the younger female was. Ty just hoped the mare kept her distance for a while, since none of them knew how the younger mare would take it.
Sitting down, Ty sighed and looked up at the girl curiously, eyes skimming down her body before meeting her eyes. "And you are...?" He knew he was being rude, however he didn't really care. He leaned back and crossed his arms over his chest as he waited for the girl's reply.

The world could fall away but I won‘t be afraid She could tell he was just trying to be strong and not let his guard down around anyone. Understanding that Chloe didn't let her guard down around people she didn't know but slowly would once she knew the person or people well enough. With a tough shell herself she would let someone in when she was comfortable with them. Not pressing him about anything that was wrong it was none of her business and if they ended up as friends maybe things would end up being different one never knew. She would just let things come and fall where they may. Hearing that she kept trying to calm him down the best of her ability to. Speaking to him she listened and nodded. "That's good to hear." She kept him standing up and still didn't leave his side. The swaying worried her and wouldn't let him fall over or worse end up passing out right in the big middle of the jumping ring. Keeping watch over him for a little while listening to him saying that he was okay to her. Chloe had heard the I'm okay really excuse many times over the years but to her a person had to show her not tell her but that didn't happen that way very often.
"You seem to be swaying right now." Looking at him not very convinced about how he was feeling. The protesting didn't really make much of a convincing impact. Slowly walking him to a bench that she saw and waited for him to sit down on his own but if not she would help him sit down. Peeking around to see her own filly still where she was standing and Candy watched the mare watching her. Candy shook her head and lightly pawed at the ground with her hoof she was bored. The pretty filly slowly walked over to Angel but didn't get all that close just wanting to see the mare at a safe distance. Once Ty had finally saw down Chloe stood there, spying him checking her body out before looking at her. She wouldn't be rude back even if a person was rude to her. "Chloe Anton and that's my horse Heave's White Chocolate or Candy." Leaning herself against the railing next to the bench. "What's your name?" Looking at him she smiled and moved her pony tail of long blonde hair behind her shoulders. "You have a lovely horse." Meaning that she loved horses.
